Jo Ong is a multi-disciplinary designer based in Singapore.
After completing her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communication from Nanyang Technological University’s School of Art, Design & Media (ADM) in Singapore, she spent 7 years in the industry working on a range of projects in branding, wayfinding, FMCG, packaging, illustration, ad campaigns, editorial, exhibition spatial design, interior styling, as well as UI and web design.
Previously based in Shanghai, China, she led a multitude of branding, illustration and social media projects for Philips, Dulux, Shanghai Auto Museum, JiaHui Hospital, PulpNation and various F&B, media and skincare brands before returning back to Singapore. Since then, she has worked on FMCG ad campaigns and packaging projects for Tefal, Campbell, NTUC and Darlie, and dabbled in gallery projects for National Gallery and National Museum of Singapore. She contributed editorial illustrations to a handful of issues of Broader Perspectives before going back to branding design for the next few years at Bravo Creative, a design agency in Singapore. At Bravo, Jo developed brand narratives and
led the art direction, conceptualised and executed multiple branding, advertising and communication projects to completion for SaladStop, Sweet Cheeks, Evian X Snoopy, Formica, Arova, IP-Tribe, SUTD and DBS.
